Main responsibilities
Cost estimating & quantity surveying
- Analyze plans, specifications and tender documents;
- Carry out the quantity take-offs required for cost studies;
- Prepare price offers and quotations;
- Consult suppliers and subcontractors and analyze their offers;
- Contribute to the technical and financial optimization of projects;
- Ensure follow-up of offers in collaboration with management.
Site monitoring
- Take part in monitoring and coordinating work on site;
- Check the progress and compliance of the works;
- Carry out the surveys and measurements required on site;
- Ensure the link between the estimating office, the site and the various stakeholders;
- Identify any discrepancies, needs or adjustments during execution;
- Take part in cost monitoring and ensure the work is properly carried out.
Candidate profile
- Technical training in construction, building or civil engineering;
- Initial experience in quantity surveying, cost estimating and/or site monitoring;
- Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Comfortable with figures, costing tools and Excel;
- Good knowledge of construction techniques and materials;
- Organized, rigorous and autonomous;
- You enjoy office-based work as much as being on site;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with the various stakeholders on a project;
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg construction sector is an advantage;
- Fluency in French is essential; German and/or Luxembourgish are an asset.
